Hiking Trails

The Lycian Way is a 535-kilometer-long hiking trail that starts in Fethiye and ends in Geyikbayırı, Antalya. It is an ideal route for those curious about breathtaking nature, ancient cities, and the unique bays of the Mediterranean. It is also ranked among the top 10 hiking trails in the world.

The trail is divided into seven stages and is usually hiked in spring or autumn due to favorable weather conditions.

Walking along paths lined with oak trees, you can enjoy views of Geyik Sivrisi Mountain. During the hike, you will pass Trebenna Ancient City, where you can see historical stone walls and ruins. After passing settlements and small rooms, you will leave the ancient city behind and continue along forest paths, reaching Elmin Neighborhood. Beyond Elmin lies Güzelçam Plateau, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the fountains.

The Typella Ancient Ruins, located on a steep slope, will also amaze you. The area features a variety of plant life, broken tombstones, and other remnants of the past. This section of the trail is quite challenging and recommended for experienced hikers.

Those wishing to hike the Lycian Way can divide the route into different stages, joining 3-, 5-, 7-, or 10-day excursions to explore this historic and scenic trail.

You can enjoy a hike in the impressive setting of Tazı Canyon. With walls ranging from 200 to 400 meters in height, Tazı Canyon offers trails through the forest, and if you wish, you can continue toward Köprülü Canyon.

During your nature walk in Tazı Canyon, you may encounter wildlife such as wild goats, rabbits, eagles, rock pigeons, and hawks, so it’s important to stay alert.

For those wanting a closer view of Sivridağ, hiking in Sivridağ National Park is a great choice. While Sivridağ is one of the highest peaks in the Bey Mountains and visible from almost anywhere in Antalya, the views and grandeur seen from the national park are truly unique.

Although Çağlarca Village in Geyikbayırı is not officially a hiking trail, it is an ideal destination for those who want to wander through lush greenery. You can extend your walk as much as you like, and it’s quite possible to stroll for a long time without encountering anyone. A perfect choice for those who love tranquility!
